What is Camp Zeal?

​

Camp Zeal is a STEAM-based summer camp presented by STEAM education company, B3. It features ten different weeks of summer camp, and each camp is full of activities that center around a specific weekly theme. Kids can expect to do tons of fun science experiments, engineering builds, code, art projects, games, and team building activities, as well as explore their own unique interests within the week's theme. We offer two half days camps during some week.

 

What is B3?

 

B3, or Bricks, Bots, & Beakers, is an exciting education company that creates meaningful opportunities for children to experience a full range of STEAM classes, camps, parties, field trips and workshops. Camp Zeal is the premiere summer camp experience brought to you by the people that have spent years facilitating unique STEAM opportunities for children across the nation. How long have we been offering STEAM classes and camps?

​

B3 has been offering STEAM classes, camps and special events since 2014 at various schools (Plano, Allen, McKinney), per-schools, rec centers (Plano, Allen, Frisco, McKinney), SMU, etc.

What is STEAM?

STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!

Is there an age restriction?

​

Yes! All incoming K - 6th graders for the 2021 - 2022 school year are eligible to attend.

​

When is Camp Zeal?

 

Camp Zeal is offered in one-week increments for a total of eleven weeks of camp. Each week and its corresponding theme can be found below. (Alternatively, visit our camp calendar.)

June 7th - June 11th   : Minecraft STEAM

June 14th - June 18th : ArcKIDtecture Super Structures

June 21st - June 25th  : Jurassic Jamboree

Do you offer half day camps ?

 

Yes, we offer half day camps.  You can opt for morning session or afternoon session.

How long does Camp Zeal last each day?

​

Half day morning session: Drop off at  8:50AM each day, and Camp Zeal runs from 9 AM to 12 noon, Monday through Friday. 

​

Half day afternoon session: Drop off at  12:50AM each day, and Camp Zeal runs from 1 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. 

​

Full day camps: Drop off begins at 8:50 AM each day, and Camp Zeal runs from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Is early drop off & late pick up available?​

​

Yes! For $75/camper per week, you may drop off your kiddo as early as 8 AM and pick up as late as 6:00 PM every day.

​

Is lunch provided?

Yes! For $60/camper per week, we provide lunch and one snack. Please call us for more details regarding our  lunch plan.

 

Where will Camp Zeal take place?

 

Camp Zeal will take place at our STEAM Lab in Plano: 2011 W Spring Creek Pkwy, #800, Plano - 75023

 

 

How much does it cost for full day camps?

 

Camp Zeal costs $320 per week of attendance. (This takes into account a $260 camp fee and a $60 supply fee.) If you require extended care for your camper (i.e. early drop off & late pick up), this is available for an additional $75/week. We also provide lunch and one snack for an additional $60.

 

Do you offer any discounts?


Yes, we offer sibling, and multiple camp discounts!

If you plan on registering more than one child, the sibling discount is $10 off for each additional child. This discount is automatically applied at checkout.

 

 

The multiple camp discount gives you $13 off per camp if you register your child for two - six weeks of camps.

Register for 7 or more camps and receive $26 off each camp. Discount is calculated automatically when you register.  No coupons necessary.

Is there a refund policy?

​

Cancellation Policy:

 

The $30 registration fee (included in the $320 camp tuition) is non-refundable. In the event you must cancel your reservation, you will receive a refund as defined herein: Cancellation notice must be submitted via email. Refund will be issued in the same manner payment was made. 100% of tuition paid (this does not include the $30 Registration Fee) will be refunded if written notice is received no later than one week prior to session start date. Cancellations received less than a week of session start date will receive 50% of tuition paid.


Cancellation requests due to illness or accident prior to the camp session start date require a physician's written verification. Upon receipt of verification, we will issue a full refund of tuition paid (not including the $30 registration fee). Cancellations due to personal reasons, etc. will not receive a refund. Camp participants who leave during a session will not receive a refund, regardless of circumstances. We reserve the right to cancel a session date if participation numbers are not adequate. In the event of cancelled course, you will be notified one week prior to the camp start date. You may select an alternative session date, or you may request a full refund.

What is the camper to adult ratio?

​

Camp Zeal enforces a 12:1 camper to adult ratio. The ratio is 10:1 during COVID pandemic.

​

Do campers have to bring their own lunch?​

​

Campers may bring their own lunch, snack, and water bottle or they can purchase our meal plan.
